Reinstating finishes after a leak
Fix the leak before arranging reinstatement. Plasterboard that is softened, swollen or separating may need replacement, while surrounding sound areas can sometimes remain. The extent of damage is not always obvious from the stain alone.
Supply photographs showing the affected ceiling and any adjoining wall damage. Explain what has been done to resolve the water source and whether the background has had time to dry. Plastering cannot repair leaking roof details or pipework.
Everyday wall wear in occupied rooms
Dented corners, fixing holes and damaged plaster after moving furniture can often be repaired locally. Where repeated repairs have left uneven levels, a more continuous finish may be useful before decorating.
Agree which furnishings can be moved and how retained floors and doorways will be protected. Repairs in an occupied family home need practical access planning, not only a measurement of the damaged patch.
New partitions and changed layouts
Boards should be firmly supported, with first-fix services complete before finishing. Junctions around new door openings and where a partition meets the ceiling need preparation appropriate to the materials.
Call with your Frimley postcode or send a quote enquiry. Include any work already planned by other trades so boarding, repairs and decoration can be sequenced without reopening new finishes.
